Step by step

  1. 1Learn Google Business Profile inside-out: primary and secondary categories, service areas, service list, product carousel, Q&A, posting cadence, and review-response templates.
  2. 2Learn the 3 tools you'll live in: Google Business Profile, Local Falcon (rank tracking), and BrightLocal or Whitespark (citations).
  3. 3Pick a city where you know the plumber landscape and count how many use Angi vs. rank organically. Underdeveloped markets are where quick wins happen.
  4. 4Sign one plumber on a 'pay only if you rank in top-3 for [service] near [city]' basis for the first 90 days. Cap upside at $3k/mo to keep it fair.
  5. 5Audit their existing profile: NAP consistency across the top 40 citation sites, missing categories, thin service descriptions, unclaimed profile edits.
